Since 1978, we have provided exceptional elder care, non-medical, skilled medical, post-operative skilled nursing, companion, and escort services.
What sets Foley apart
There are many nursing agencies out there with acceptable hiring skills. But Foley looks for more than just the basic qualifications. We specialize in finding the best caregivers with the skills and temperament to provide an exceptional care experience.
Every person we hire goes through a carefully designed training program, where they learn about the principles of hospitality (how to serve) and how to leverage them to create a positive experience for the client. We also train our new hires to look for and detect even the smallest changes in the client so they can start a conversation about whether their needs have changed and seek support at the onset of a change.

Meet the CareWell Leadership Team
Edward J. Abel, RN, Owner Operator
Ed owns and operates CareWell and is a registered nurse with over 40+ years of hands-on care experience and a strong passion for exceptional care.
He has a natural gift for managing the big-picture vision and fine details of a proactive care plan for someone whose needs are changing. Ed is deeply committed to helping others ensure their aging loved ones receive quality care from the first signs of decline to their final days.
With over 40 years of experience in the medical community, Ed has brought together a team of healthcare providers across a vast spectrum of services to ensure top-quality care and an easier path forward for aging patients and those who love them.
Michelle Darcy, Executive Director
As Executive Director, Michelle Darcy is responsible for creating support and structure for CareWell. She has spent her entire career in business management, with over ten years in healthcare. Before joining the CareWell team, Michelle managed a large general practice (GP) in Dublin. She has extensive experience recruiting and managing healthcare professionals.
Michelle also serves as a case manager, personally matching caretakers with clients and following up to ensure long-term compatibility. She is extremely passionate about giving back to the elderly by facilitating excellent matches that lead to true friendships.
Dr. Nichole Lawson, DNP, APRN-CNP
Nichole has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with over 15 years of experience in acute care and geriatric patient care education. She is responsible for developing our intake assessment methodologies and ensuring that all patient care plans are built around the client’s values and beliefs.
Dr. Lawson is exceptionally passionate about preventive care, better patient education, and other tools for improving the quality of life for the elderly. She firmly believes in the value of families having early, honest conversations about everyone’s wishes for the future.
